I read the testimonials of other tourists about how accommodating Sam Savat is. He was out tuk-tuk driver for 2 days and I would say that he is the best tour guide/driver in siem reap! We love his tuk-tuk, it was a very comfortable one with cushions and shades from rain or sun. Since it was raining during the time we visited the temples, Sam was very ready to protect us with any rainfall. He even had an umbrella with him. He also gave good ideas on where to eat at and what to buy, or how to say no to the vendors. He's a very honest driver - not that type who will take advantage of a tourist's innocence. I would highly recommend Sam :) Thanks Sam for a very interesting trip!

"On our two day trip to Angkor we had the pleasure of Same being our TukTuk driver. He is a really nice young man who showed us all the nice places, but he also let us tell where we wanted to go. When we visited a sight, he stayed around and he noticed us when we were finished so he drove his TukTuk by so we could immediately go to the next sight. I just came back from Siam Reap and would like to recomend an excellent driver I had. His name is Sam and we used his services for 4 days. His english is quite good, he even carries a dictionary! He also speaks French. He drives very safely and is a great guide thru Angkor and all surrounding areas. We especially loved the real Khmer restaurant that he took us to. No one there spoke english, so we wood have very hard time to order anything without Sam. We had a great feast for a fraction of the prices in town. Sam Knew where to go best at what time of day, but also allways considered what we would like to see the most. You can just let him plan your day at breakfast and relax as he will give you an excellent service, explain about temples, stop at good spots to eat along the way. He works hard, is courteous, does not take advantage of you not knowing your way around. Make sure to tip him well at the end of your trip because he really deserves it. He also has great plans of starting an organisation to help Cambodian orfans. Inteligent and plesent. Say Greg sent you.

Jeg kom til Siep Raep i gar, og i dag har Same vart min tuktuk-forer til Angkor Wat. Han er en hyggelig og sympatisk forer, og har ingen problemer med a anbefale han til andre norske turister..Det er langt mer hyggelig mate a komme frem med en tuktuk enn flokkevis i buss

Mr Same was my driver for 3 days in Angkor Wat. He was an excellent driver who new about all of the sites, and worked out an itinerary over the 3 days that spread out all the main attractions. As well as visiting all the temple sites, he took me on a tour of the countryside and to a floating village to add variety to the tour. He was a very safe driver, never took me unexpected shops for commission selling - but he did take me to some locals only restaurants. I recommend that you use Same as he is a very good driver!

I been in Cambodia for 9 days now, and had several tuktuk/taxi drivers, and Dara is by far the best one I had! He is very nice, speaks excellent English, knows where everything is at, and give you histroy of the area. He is very honest and dependable! I highly recommend Sam. We visited Siem Reap in March of 2009 and were fortunate enough to book his tuk-tuk services prior to leaving the US. We hired him for two days with one day to visit the Temples and one day of sight seeing. Everywhere that he took us was great, but the best part is his attitude. At no time did we ever feel pushed or that we were out of control. And his restaurant connections are great! Upon leaving Siem Reap and traveling to Phnom Penh Sam also made arrangements with a partner named David to pick us at the bus station. This helped a lot because we then had a connection we felt we could trust in PP. I will definately use this service when I return to Cambodia!

Cuối tháng 12/2009 tôi có dịp cùng vợ đi Siem Reap gần 3 ngày. Trước khi đi tôi đã tra thông tin về Angkor, lên hành trình và qua google, tôi tìm được một số trang web cung cấp dịch vụ tuk tuk đi thăm Angkor. Sau khi nghiên cứu một số trang web, tôi quyết định chọn Same. Tôi gửi email cho Same hành trình dự kiến của mình và lập tức nhận được phản hồi trong vòng chưa đến 1 ngày. Tôi và Same nhanh chóng thống nhất lịch trình và giá cả. Đúng hẹn, Same có mặt tại khách sạn tôi ở. Vợ tôi khá ngạc nhiên khi biết tôi đã book được cả dịch vụ tuk tuk từ trước qua web :D, một cách làm tương đối ít phổ biến tại Việt nam. Same là thanh niên trẻ, dễ mến và khá điển trai. Tiếng Anh của Same tương đối tốt, đủ để hai bên hiểu nhau không khó khăn gì. Anh lái xe rất cẩn thận và từ tốn, trong suốt mấy ngày đưa chúng tôi đi thăm Angkor, anh luôn phục vụ với tinh thần nhiệt tình và không một chút đòi hỏi. Anh có kể cho chúng tôi về dự án giúp đỡ trẻ em khó khăn mà anh đang tham gia, theo đó một phần tiền kiếm được qua việc đưa đón khách sẽ được dùng để giúp đỡ các em nhỏ này. Cuối chuyến đi tôi đã hứa sẽ viết thư giới thiệu cho trang web của Same và Same đáng được giới thiệu như vậy. Nếu bạn là người Việt nam có dự định sang thăm Angkor, hãy liên hệ với Same và cho Same một cơ hội phục vụ, chắc chắn bạn sẽ không hối tiếc.
